Education and Support for Parents of Hemiplegic Children

Helping Hemi Hands has been curated to help parents of children with the diagnosis of Hemiplegia who want to be more hands-on in their child’s CIMT and bimanual therapy.

When speaking to parents I hear common complaints including:

  • Feeling abandoned and unsupported with exercise programs

  • Frustrations with long waiting lists

  • The cost of private one to one specialist therapist support isn’t affordable

We offer standalone educational modules to encourage you to learn the science and theory behind upper limb therapy alongside practical modules with examples of exercises designed with particular movement goals in mind.

We also have the Helping Hemi Hands membership, which provides a support and safe community alongside the educational and practical modules.

Memberships

Our monthly membership educates and empowers you to complete therapy programmes suitable for your child with confidence.

Meet Your Physiotherapist

Nikki qualified in 2007 and has always had an interest in Neurology, specialising in Paediatric Neurology in 2012 with a passion for evidence based treatment and technology.

Nikki set up her company Children’s Physio Northwest in 2016 with the belief that therapy should be enjoyable for children (and the therapist!). Nikki is dedicated to making this a reality. She enjoys supporting families and empowering them to help their child reach their full potential.

Having access to timely treatment has become even more important over the past few years and Nikki provides this within the Helping Hemi Hands membership.
